Overcoming Invasive Doubts and Satanic Whispers (Waswas)
Explicitly established in Quran or Sahih Hadith as ruqyah/protection for this exact matter.
Infiltrating doubts regarding faith, prayer, or ritual purity is a classic demonic strategy. The Prophet ﷺ taught that a believer should never panic, but immediately stop arguing in their mind and seek refuge in Allah.
Sahih Muslim Sahih
Translation (EN)
Satan comes to one of you and says: 'Who created this? Who created that?' until he says: 'Who created your Lord?' When he reaches that point, let him seek refuge in Allah and stop [such thoughts].
How to Perform / When to Recite
The moment an intrusive doubt arises, say: 'Amantu billahi wa rusulih' (I believe in Allah and His Messengers) and 'A'udhu billahi minash-shaytanir rajeem'. Then completely ignore the thought, cease all internal disputation, and engage in beneficial remembrance.
Important Safety Note: Ruqyah is a means of seeking Allah's protection and healing; it does not replace medical care. Never hang amulets or go to fortune-tellers/sorcerers.
