Seeking Medical Treatment is Mandatory

Explicitly established in Quran or Sahih Hadith as ruqyah/protection for this exact matter.

Seeking medical care and taking medication is an established Sunnah and obligation in Islam. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Allah has not sent down any disease except that He also sent down its cure' (Bukhari 5678). Ruqyah accompanies medical treatment; assuming every illness is jinn or witchcraft is pure ignorance.
Sahih al-Bukhari Sahih
مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ دَاءً إِلَّا أَنْزَلَ لَهُ شِفَاءً
Translation (EN)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment.'

How to Perform / When to Recite

Immediately consult a qualified physician for any physical or mental affliction and take prescribed medicines regularly. Simultaneously recite Quranic ruqyah for spiritual strength. Strictly follow medical guidance and never discontinue medications without doctor's advice.

Important Safety Note: Ruqyah is a means of seeking Allah's protection and healing; it does not replace medical care. Never hang amulets or go to fortune-tellers/sorcerers.
