Authentic Method of Performing Ruqyah According to the Sunnah
Explicitly established in Quran or Sahih Hadith as ruqyah/protection for this exact matter.
Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to bed each night, he would cup his palms together, blow lightly into them, and recite Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas into them, then wipe over whatever he could of his body with them.
How to Perform / When to Recite
1) Sit facing the Qiblah in a state of wudu. 2) Cup your hands together and recite Surah Al-Fatihah, Ayat al-Kursi, and the 3 Quls (Ikhlas, Falaq, An-Nas). 3) Blow lightly into your cupped palms and wipe over your body as far as you can reach. Place your right hand over any area of pain, say Bismillah, and recite the prophetic supplications.
Important Safety Note: Ruqyah is a means of seeking Allah's protection and healing; it does not replace medical care. Never hang amulets or go to fortune-tellers/sorcerers.
