Supplications for Debt Relief and Halal Provision

A valid prophetic supplication for life needs, clearly labelled as dua rather than ruqyah.

Important Notice: This is a general authentic supplication for life needs, not a ruqyah. There is no 'magic-breaking ruqyah' for debt in Islam. The Prophet (ﷺ) sought refuge from the heavy burden of debt and anxiety (Sahih al-Bukhari 6369) and taught Ali (r.a.) words that enable paying off mountain-sized debts (Tirmidhi 3563).
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Hasan
Translation (EN)

Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) taught: 'O Allah! Satisfy me with Your lawful against Your unlawful, and enrich me with Your bounty from other than You.'

Sahih al-Bukhari Sahih
Translation (EN)

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and sadness, from weakness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by people.

How to Perform / When to Recite

After obligatory prayers, in prostration (sujood), and during the last third of the night, consistently recite these authentic supplications. Strive in lawful earning and avoid unlawful means.

Important Safety Note: Ruqyah is a means of seeking Allah's protection and healing; it does not replace medical care. Never hang amulets or go to fortune-tellers/sorcerers.
